We needed to develop a new brand concept to introduce twelve trolleybuses to the tourism market in Hawaii. But with multiple trolleybuses at each travel agency, it can be overwhelming for tourists. Our goal was to create a standout bus that would capture travelers' attention and enhance JTB's brand value.
To achieve this, we named the brand HiBus (Hawaii + Bus) for easy recognition. We incorporated motifs that symbolize Hawaii’s natural beauty, plants, and food: the pineapple, the ocean, and the hibiscus flower. This distinctive design makes the HiBus easily recognizable and sets it apart from other trolleybuses.
